Chocolate Peanut Butter Oats

Oats are an easy meal. Throw some into a bowl, add water, and heat up in the microwave. Repeat. Honestly, sounds boring to me. So, I spice it up and what’s better than chocolate and peanut butter, for breakfast?

This meal is easier than it sounds and more delicious than you think. If you have the time, I always suggest to use a stove top, but if you are in a rush and these oats are on the go, then the microwave will do just fine! Trust me, I am the queen of being in a rush, throwing the oats in a cup, and walking into class late with a coffee in hand. Oh well!

Chocolate peanut butter oats are a staple of mine during the winter and when I’m craving something warm, filling, and comforting. I love devouring this post workout or before an extremely busy day. Oats have the fiber and carbs, peanut butter has the protein, banana has the sugar (yes people, you need sugar!), honey has the sweetness, and cocoa powder, well, that has the chocolate! But, don’t be fooled, this meal is not only for the winter, it is an easy recipe for the summer as well, but in overnight oats form. You can make any oat recipe you want in an overnight oats form, all you do is add the measured oats, your choice of milk, any toppings or additions, into a mason jar, and place it overnight. Then the next morning, those oats are all yours! YUM!

So, the next time you find yourself craving chocolate in the morning, you are not crazy. You are a hungry human who wants chocolate. And my answer to that is, incorporate it in your breakfast!

Enjoy this recipe. Fuel your body. Much love!
