Cocoa Almond Butter Balls
I swear, every new cafe, coffee shop, or food brand comes up with their own “protein balls”. These things have been everywhere. And to be honest, I didn’t understand the hype. I couldn’t wrap my head around a mushy ball that was supposed to be delicious? I saw so many different kinds of recipes on my instagram feed and came across a “cookie dough ball” recipe. Hold up… cookie dough!? Okay, I’m in.
And then began my journey to discover the perfect protein balls for me. As you all know, chocolate and nut butter are two huge staples in my life, so I tried to incorporate them into this new recipe. The fun thing with making protein balls is you really can just throw what you love in there as long as you have a balance of dry and wet ingredients. All you have to do is keep them refrigerated!
I love these for when I am on the go or before a workout. They are quick and easy and pretty delicious, if I might add. I also love adding these to my yogurt or oat bowls. P.S. adding it to your oats means that the chocolate melts…. (drooling). An easy recipe for a snack or an addition to any other meal. They keep you fueled and they are quite delicious! Oh, and all you have to do is roll up your ingredients, refrigerate, and devour.
Enjoy this recipe. Fuel your body. Much love.
