Raspberry Blueberry Jam

You know when you crave that one meal your used to have almost everyday as a child? And you start to remember all the little memories that one meal or food was apart of? For me, that was the pb&j sandwiches my mom used to pack for me with Skippy Peanut Butter and Welches Grape Jelly on Oat Nut Bread. And if I wasn’t eating one of these sandwiches, I was sitting on the countertop with my mom, eating jelly out of the jar with saltine crackers. Ah, the good ole days! When sitting on the counter eating from a jar was totally acceptable and adorable.

Even though it’s been 15+ years, it does not mean you can’t enjoy your favorite pb&j or a delicious jelly. This recipe is more simple than you think.

Literally. The only ingredient is berries.

This is what I love about trying new recipes, you don’t realize how simple and easy they are until you actually try. Especially with something like jam. You can put it on anything, use it in anything, or even just eat it straight from the jar (no shame people, I think it tastes better straight from the jar).

My favorite combos with this jam is with peanut butter on rice cakes, on toast with peanut butter or just plain, as a spread for a baked good, in a yogurt or oat bowl, or even as a dipping sauce for apples! Trust me, there are plenty more.

I tried this recipe simply because I found myself craving a pb&j and had no jam in the house, but plenty of blueberries and raspberries. Once I made this delicious jam, I was immediately brought back to my 5 year old self, sitting on the counter, giggling with my mom.

This is what I love about certain foods or recipes. They hold so many memories with so many people. Food is what brings us together. Cherish it.

Enjoy this recipe. Fuel your body. Much love.
