Honey Lemon Pepper Salmon

Let’s be honest. Salmon can be sort of boring? Come on, I know I am not the only one thinking this. Unless you add a crazy amount of salt and pepper or put your salmon into a rice bowl or a salad. Then, it isn’t that bad. And coming from a family where we had salmon almost twice a week, I never realized that salmon was actually super boring. So, I made it my goal to create a salmon recipe that makes your taste buds party until you treat them with the after party (dessert).

I have a sweet tooth. I also love salt. So, obviously I had to incorporate this into my recipe. Duh! Don’t let this discourage you. Trust me. There is a reason for adding sweetness and it makes a huge difference. So, I introduce to you, a sweet and salty salmon recipe.

A combination of lemon, honey, and pepper. Huge tip: go to Trader Joes right now and buy their lemon pepper seasoning. You won’t regret it. But back to the point. The honey creates this glaze on the salmon. It is not an overwhelming sweet flavor, as a matter of fact, usually the lemon is the stronger taste. But the glaze seeps into the salmon and makes you appreciate the texture. It is heavenly.

This recipe was a keeper after the day I made it. With a few adjustments, it was perfected. The most important step is to marinade. I promise, it is a lot easier than you think. Get a large Ziploc. Add olive oil, lemon juice, honey, salt, and lemon pepper. Put your salmon in there. Give it a good shake! Then, leave in the fridge for about 30-40 minutes.

If you are on the hunt for a new and improved salmon recipe, I highly suggest giving this sweet and salty, lemon seasoned and honey sweetened, very yummy, recipe a try!

Enjoy this recipe. Fuel your body. Much love.
